Our Sailing Instructors deliver group taster sessions in sailing and may also help to organise and participate in evening entertainments.

We're looking for people who can share their passion for the water with our young guests and inspire, motivate and reassure.

As well as your sailing experience, we're looking for people bursting with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and lots of energy! You'll pick up numerous transferable skills for your CV including group communication, confidence, resourcefulness and how to handle situations as they arise.

PGL uses Laser Picos and Funboats, Toppers and Topper Taz, RS Fevas and RS Visions as well as Hobie 15 catamarans. Sessions are held either inland or on the sea, depending on the centre's location.

We have stunning centres on the French Mediterranean, in the Dordogne, and the Costa Brava in Spain.

To work as a Sailing Instructor you do need to hold a minimum of your Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Assistant Instructor award or RYA Seamanship award.

You are also eligible to apply for a place on our NVQ Level 2 programme. This provides an industry-leading package of training, support and qualifications, enabling people to join PGL at a range of experience levels and will equip you with the skills and confidence to perform your role. There are no age restrictions on our apprenticeship programme.
